Walk With Santas - 8:00 to 9:00 AM
On August 16, 2008, children and families are welcome to join in the ‘Walk With Santas’ at the Guadalupe River Park and Gardens, in San Jose, CA. Sign-in is at 7:45 AM at the table on the sidewalk near the Visitors Center. The real Santa is expected, although he will be incognito. Dozens of Santas Helpers and Elves will be walking with the members of the public. In addition to raising awareness of the importance of exercise to kids, there is an opportunity to raise funds for the American Heart Association. The finish line features photographers taking pictures of all of the winners, since everyone who walks is a winner.

Healthy Lunch With Santas 11:30 to 1:00 PM

At the Sweet Tomatoes on Coleman Avenue south of Taylor, near Guadalupe River Park and Gardens, all children and families are invited to join Santa’s Helpers for a healthy lunch. Santa, although incognito, as well as the Santa’s Helpers will rotate visiting with children and families in the line, as well as at the tables, and posing for pictures outside after the meal.
