February Virtual Meeting via CHAT on 1/13/2010 at 9 AM PST
Hello everyone,
We all hope to have a 'virtual' meeting online at 9:00 AM on February 13. Anyone who logs into Santas NorCal and then selects CHAT from the menu bar will be able to see all posts in almost-real-time, and to add their thoughts. We did agree to assess ourselves a fee for membership of $5 per person, and that allows continued use of the website and membership certificate.
In my experience with these type of meetings, sometimes 2 or 3 conversations are going on, and the reader has to 'thread' them together, since they are posted first-come-first-served. It can be lots of fun!
To add to the excitement, Debbie and I will have just landed in Glasgow, Scotland (if the plane is not delayed). I hope everything works out! If not, we will lean on Santa Zeke (Ron Olsen) and Santa Ed (Ed Eckert) along with Elf Chris. If Santa Zeke, as the Vice President and Recording Secretary can take the lead with Santa Ed, the Vice President of Membership supporting, we should be fine. Mrs. Claus Sheri will be able to report on our paid memberships, and set up a way for others to send her funds.
We should authorize someone (I'm willing if no one else claims the honor) to create the membership certificate and membership card and mail-merge our membership onto them. Also, we either need to mail them out or to arrange to pick them up at the April 10 meeting. Can anyone else suggest agenda items?
